  • This is a home-made cat playground in 2 parts: the PLAYGROUND made of timber structure, and the TOWER made from a 2nd. hand disposed PVC thick pipe. Both structures are covered with carpet off-cuts. The tower has several inside steps on a bit less than "half-moon" shape, also covered in carpet too.

I just changed one of the top platforms from the original make for another more solid and stable.

I've saved lots of money doing this myself, while getting most of the parts from 2nd hand material building yards. Cats prefer solid but tall structures, but they can be ridiculously expensive from pet shops, while the material are often too weak in most cases and the carpet used is also too thin and soft. Cats prefer thick and rough carpets to dig and to scratch with their claws. I recommend solid pine (NEVER particle boards or MDF) for the structure, so in time you will be able to replace the torned up carpet and hold it with staples or contact glue as I did.
----IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: the above shown construction is provided "as is". No warranty of any kind is given as the author cannot be held responsible for accidents. In case of doubts, I strongly suggest to purchase one already made from stores or made by other professionals. This is a "home made" product, therefore, all safety and associated risks depends on your ability as a "handyman", whilst special consideration MUST be taken in terms of STABILITY of the entire structure, to prevent collapse, tilting or falling (I.e. on top of babies, children or furniture) when the cats play in it.-----
Your cats will love it. Have fun with them!... ;-)

This cat toy will work on pretty much any Android phone with a touchscreen, tough it will work best with tablets and phones with a large display since it will make it easier for your cat.
FAQ:Q - What the hell is a game for cats, this is a joke app right ?
A - Absolutely not! Cats are natural hunters, and they will chase pretty much anything that moves. Just wave a string in front of them and they will chase it. The "problem" with normal toys is that it requires human intervention or the cat will soon be bored of something that doesn't move. With Cat Playground you can keep your feline friend entertained for much longer, even when you don't have time to play with him. Human supervision is still advised during play.Q - My cat doesn't seem interested or just plainly ignores the app.
A - Just like people every cat has it's own personality. Some like to play more than others, or maybe your cat is simply not in the mood right now. Try showing them the app later, preferably when they are in a playful mood.Q - Can my cat claws scratch my phone/tablet ?
A - In theory yes, tough it's extremely unlikely. Phone screens are made to endure harsh punishment, and most of the screens found on phones are made from glass wich is several times harder than a cat's claws. We've had a kitten playing on a Samsung Galaxy Mini phone wich has a screen made from plastic, and the screen doesn't have a single scratch on it.Q - Is there anything i should keep in mind while my cat is using the app ?
A - Yes, human supervision is highly advised. Some cats can get pretty excited while playing Cat Playground and may try to bite or flip the phone. It's preferable to put the phone on the ground instead of a couch or table to prevent fall damage.

  • TRIXIE’s Malaga Cat Playground is sure to entice any playful feline and can even easily accommodate multiple cats. Watch as your cat climbs to new heights with each sisal wrapped ladder. Cats can sharpen their claws on any one of the five scratching posts, giving them a healthy outlet for their scratching instincts. All posts are wrapped in natural, durable sisal. For a retreat, the cat can curl up on the plush hammock or crawl inside one of two plush-lined kitty condos. Spunky cats can jump, climb or perch atop one of the platforms and lie in wait for unsuspecting prey or simply enjoy the view.

Cats Play Area Design by Catswall Home Playground

Needles to say, a cat playground is a great idea for indoor cats as this piece can encourage your cat to play and exercise more often. A good idea is to place the playground next to a window so kitty can monitor the outdoors.
