    Then a friend told me about Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout DVD. The DVD contains three different workouts which progress by level of intensity. Each workout is 22 minutes. Really, 22 minutes! It sounded like something I at least had to try. I liked the idea of having a workout option for days that I couldn’t get to the gym. I liked not having to drive anywhere or pack anything. It would be fantastic if I could get my exercise in while the baby slept and as the other kids played in the comfort of their own home. As much as I like the classes at the gym, I couldn’t deny that 22 minutes was easier to find than two and half hours. This was not a replacement for my gym membership but something additional that I would try.

Yes, you read that correctly, I am doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I am doing this to support my wife and some of her friends in their workouts and it’s a dvd workout program that we own. They joined together to to do this last year and then kicked off the new year with it again. So, they knew what they were getting in to, I did not. I started on Tuesday and have completed two days. After the first day, my arms hurt. This workout program focuses on cardio with weights. I took yesterday off from working out and hit it this morning. It is going well until I saw a tweet from one of the ladies says that we need to take our measurements. That is when I said that I am just going to stick to the workouts. I don’t need to know how wide my hips our and how many dress sized I went down.
