Apple announced the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on Tuesday, and they include some substantial differences. Among them is the fact that you can pre-order the iPhone 5c starting Friday, September 13th, while you can't pre-order the iPhone 5s. If you want the 5s, you'll have to order it on September 20th or get in line.
As for individual carriers, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint still have pre-orders available with a delivery date of September 20 still listed. As for retailers who are carrying the new iPhones, Best Buy requires that you pre-order the iPhone 5c in stores and RadioShack doesn’t have the new phones even listed on their website yet, so it seems retailers might not be the best place to go if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to pre-order the iPhone 5c.
If you can’t get around to pre-ordering an iPhone 5c from your carrier online (, ; ) or, you can again pre-order from Future Shop and Best Buy retail locations. The companies sent out an email blast to customers earlier today informing them to visit stores to make their iPhone 5c pre-orders. This year, the iPhone 5s is not available for pre-order.
The iPhone 5c comes in 2 different storage capacities 16GB and 32GB, priced at $99 and $199 respectively with a two-year contract, and $549 and $649 respectively without a contract. Walmart is the cheapest place to pre-order an iPhone 5c, they’re (20% discount).
